Do I need to be home for the appointment?
Not necessarily! As long as we have access to the vehicle and a way to return your keys, you can go about your day. Many of our clients leave their cars in the driveway or at their workplace.
Do you need access to my water or electricity?
Yes. To ensure we can deliver our signature Str8up finish, we require access to a standard outdoor water tap and a reliable power outlet within 10 metres of the vehicle. Our team carries heavy-duty, professional-grade extension leads and hoses, but a stable connection to your home or office utilities is essential for our equipment to run at peak performance.
How long does a typical detail take?
This depends on the package. Our Str8up Refresh takes around 1-2 hours, while our Deep Dive or Ceramic Coating package can take 4-6+ hours. We provide an estimated timeframe with every booking.
What happens if it rains on the day of my booking?
If we can't work under cover (like a garage or carport), we will contact you at least 2 hours before the appointment to reschedule. Your deposit is fully transferable to the new date.
How far in advance should I book?
We usually recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance, especially for weekend slots.
Are you insured?
Yes, Str8updetailing is fully insured with Public Liability and "Service Indemnity" cover. Your vehicle is protected from the moment we arrive until the moment we hand back the keys.
What is the difference between a Wax and a Ceramic Coating?
Wax provides a high-gloss shine for 1-3 months. A Ceramic Coating is a permanent chemical bond that protects your paint from UV rays and chemicals for 1-5 years, making the car much easier to clean.
Can you remove every scratch?
We can remove most surface-level "swirls" and light scratches. However, if a scratch has gone through the clear coat to the primer (if you can feel it with your fingernail), it may require a body shop repair rather than detailing.

What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours notice for cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable but can be credited toward a future service if rescheduled within the required timeframe.
